Today our German exchange students fallowed us around to our classes. Mason, Garrett, Anna, Lukas, Simon, and I all went to Win Co on Sunday, we bought most of the food we needed for the month that they will be here. Today the German exchange students went to go see the mayor of Enumclaw. They walked in to town and got to go to the mayors office. They came back to the high school after 3rd period and we picked them up at the German class room. When we got home Anna showed us how to play some card games and we showed her how to play some of our card games.

Today the exchange students walked from EHS to the Enumclaw City Hall to meet Mayor Liz Reynolds. We took the route that led us past the Cole Street shops, and although we arrived a little early to the City Hall, the Mayor was able to see us right away. Some students were even allowed to sit in the city council member's chairs! The Mayor told us many good stories, and many German exchange students asked interesting questions - was she the first woman mayor in Enumclaw (yes!) and what did one need to do to become mayor (live in the city for 1 year and have voter registration)... we had a wonderful visit! I actually had a present to give Mayor Liz Reynolds from the Mayor of Eggenfelden - it was a glass coat of arms of the city of Eggenfelden! I'm so thankful that it didn't break in the two years that it was in my possession. After the mayor we all enjoyed some of the specialties at The Local.
