This morning we arrived in Iceland at around 06:30 and we then had to go through passport control. It took a long time because there was a lot of people waiting in line. After all of us got cool new stamps on our passports, we went to the hostel we are staying at to drop off our stuff. We then went out to breakfast at a Viking Museum where we ate a nice Icelandic breakfast and looked at some amazing views. After that, we then took a trip to the Blue Lagoon and drooled over the breathtaking views of the water. We were swimming and relaxing in the water for about 2 hours wearing a nice clay mask they offer (for free!) then got dressed and looked at the views some more from inside the Cafe. We then slept on the bus on our way to Reykjavik then walked around for a few hours. (There is so much amazing architecture in Reykjavik!) My group went out to eat and watched a live performance in the park. While on the bus ride home, Ms. Chris and I were the only ones awake and we had a laugh. When we got back to the hostel, everybody got checked into their rooms and some people took showers and waited for Frau to get pizza. We all sat down together and ate pizza then went on our own and went to bed. Amazing first day!

Today we landed! Very early in the morning...
Most of us took naps on the plane. There were free movies and tv show episodes to watch during the flight. After the flight, we went to the hostel to store our bags and then got breakfast at a viking museum. The food was really good. The apple juice was the best! After that, we walked around Reykjavik in groups and did some shopping. Pizza was for dinner, and some of us slept better than others that night. In Iceland, it's rarely dark, so the sun was up even when we were asleep! (Or, not asleep, in some cases) Today we met at the airport at 12:30 at the Iceland Air desk to leave for EUROPE! We were all so excited (some of us more nervous than excited perhaps). We got checked it, took this amazing photo, made our way through security, and then boarded our plane to Iceland. Iceland Air only sells food on the plane, so I made sure we all got something to eat. The plane had wonderful entertainment, and many students spent their time watching videos, shows, and using the "coloring book" painting option. :)
